How it works
Proactive planning, consistent communication and collaboration among professional trades are the foundation of a project’s success. We stand by our work, devoting the necessary time for proper administration and costing to deliver projects on-time and on-budget. Our six-step process is designed to put you at ease throughout the home-building proces
01 - Connect
02 - Learn
We would like to see your architectural plans and take our initial discussions a step further. If you’re starting fresh, share your custom home wish list and we can refer you to an architect or designer. We can also make referrals to a real estate agent to locate a property to build your dream home. To better understand your goals, we’ll take you on a tour of several Profile-built homes to showcase our quality and craftsmanship and allow you to ask more specific questions. We encourage you to speak to our clients about their home-building experience. Our aim is to build trust and ensure you’re comfortable with our process.
03 - Budget
We will create a detailed estimate itemizing the full scope of your project, explain our integrity pricing policy and our management fee designed to provide cost certainty. Once our scope of work is complete, we will review the itemized budget together, at which point you can adjust your wish list to ensure it aligns with your budget.
04 - Approve
Once plans are finalized, we will produce a comprehensive scope of work, job schedule and completed estimate before we sign your Profile Custom Homes contract. We pay close attention to detail to ensure that every one of your design and structural wishes are reflected in the project plan. We take pride in avoiding surprises. The same is true of our tendering process. We negotiate with trades and suppliers on your behalf to secure the most competitive pricing possible and to ensure cost certainty. While you’ll make the final decision on trades, we will recommend professionals that we feel are best suited to the project.
05 - Build
Our founder, Joel Atkinson will be actively present and engaged at your job site as work begins to commence and through every phase of the project. You will have a dedicated project manager on-site during the entire process. Our high-touch service approach and ongoing communications are designed to keep you informed for the duration of the project, even on the most detailed aspects of your dream home’s construction.
06 - Complete
We always finish a project as strong as we started. We ensure that no element is overlooked as your home approaches completion, making move-in day as exciting as you’d imagined.
